Keller Williams Realty was founded in 1983 by Gary Keller & Joe Williams. The company was launched from a single Austin, Texas location. In 1991 the company began to franchise and in 1993 the first office outside Texas was opened in Oklahoma.
The company has continued to grow and in 2013 it grew to be the largest real estate company in the United States. As of the third quarter of 2017, the company now has over 173,000 thousand associates.
